Tonight we began a series of projects involving indigenous people of Japan. I used these words in our introductory dialogue. At this very moment we are rehearsing our dialogue and are just about to start the first recording. Wish us luck!

The music I have begun to write has been heavily, heavily influenced by the life and works of Ayumi Hamasaki. I have begun plans for an album for which I am making plans and notes as I write this entry. Because I pour every one of my concurrent emotions onto my physical notes, only certain thought processes will be recorded here.
Hamasaki has lately been a profound source of inspiration for my sudden bursts of creativity, which I have been experiencing more often. And so, my music and writing has been greatly influenced by her songs. To begin this train of inspiration which I am currently following I have fallen into a deep state of trance which involves Hamasaki’s earlier remix albums, such as ayu-mi-x II ver. JPN, US+EU and ayu trance. Of course, as is typical of Hamasaki’s earlier works, the songs that draw my attention the most are the poignant and heartbreaking numbers, such as WHATEVER (FPM’s WINTER BOSSA) or monochrome (Orb 7” Vocal Mix) (both of which I highly recommend). Songs like Moments also intrigue me, because of their breathtakingly beautiful lyrics and compositions.
When I was in a choir many years ago I had the wonderful opportunity to sing the song “Ave Maria” in both German and Latin. In the end I always preferred the composition of the German version better, as it always inspired me to pray so much more. Lately I’ve begun to wonder the meaning behind that constant prayer. At this point the album will deviate from the depressing theme and pull forward toward strength and overcoming certain obstacles.

As I write this sentence I have completed the notes for all 17 of the tracks for which I plan to write music and lyrics.

…Okay, the dancer’s name is Maroka: my new favorite…perhaps meant to be shu-ya’s successor?

Last year’s performance of her signature A Song for XX. Sometimes she can sing with a certain feeling of passion and pain when it comes to this song.
This proves what a fucking amazing performer she’s become over the years. I’m especially looking forward to A Song for XX from this DVD collection.
